With more than 40 impressive geosites within a 165 km drive, visitors learn about Earth’s incredible natural history including the best example of how supercontinent Pangea was formed and broke apart; the oldest dinosaur bones in Canada; highest tides in the world; and a magnificent landscape steeped in Mi’kmaw legend, Acadian lore, and a vibrant arts, food, and musical culture.
The Fundy Geological Museum is the world centre for experiencing geological history interpreted from the unique features of Nova Scotia’s Fundy region. It is operated by the Cumberland Geological Society as part of the Nova Scotia Museum.
FORCE is Canada’s lead research facility for tidal stream technology, created to better understand how this technology can play a role in Canada’s clean energy future and help respond to climate change impacts (like ocean acidification, sea level rise, and coastal erosion). FORCE provides offshore and onshore electrical equipment to connect devices to the power grid, and conducts monitoring and research to understand any potential environmental effects.
Glooscap Campground and RV is located on the beautiful Bay of Fundy in picturesque Parrsboro. From here, you can discover miles of hiking trails, numerous beaches, and spectacular scenery. The Parrsboro Golf Club, located just outside of Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, welcomes you to one of the most scenic golf courses in Canada. This short nine-hole course on the cliffs above the Bay of Fundy’s Minas Basin is ideal for those seeking a quick round of golf that includes some rather challenging holes. Open to visitors from May to October, the PGC can provide golf carts, power carts and pull carts, even a set of golf clubs if you don’t have yours.
Since 1984 Ship’s Company has commissioned, developed and/or produced thirty-four new works and launched a number of world premiere productions that have gone on to theatres across the country such as Wendy Lill’s Glace Bay Miners Museum, Claudia Dey’s Trout Stanley, and most recently, Jacob Sampson’s Chasing Champions.
